Nutty Cinnamon Sticks
Sometimes you just want a quick treat that isn't a lot of hassle, doesn't require a lot of ingredients, and something the whole family will enjoy. These Nutty Cinnamon Sticks hit the mark on all three accounts. I'll give you one more bonus: they are so simple you could involve the kids to help. Anytime you can incorporate children in the kitchen I'm all for it! You could even make a yummy warm cream cheese frosting to dunk them in...I didn't. But you could! In a few simple steps you could have these for your after dinner treat. During the summer I like to place my rolls on a lined or sprayed baking sheet covered with plastic wrap outside somewhere in the sun. Makes rising them a breeze.
Here's what you will need: Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls (thawed but still cold), melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and finely chopped pecans
Roll each roll into a 6-inch rope.
Place melted butter in one shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Dip each rope into butter and then into sugar mixture.
Place, about 2-inches apart, on two large sprayed baking sheets. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise 30-45 minutes.
Remove plastic and bake at 350°F 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Your kitchen will smell wonderful, and you will have a hard time keeping everyone from diving right in. Enjoy!
